HEY KID...GET OFF THOSE DRUMS!

8/2/2012

Here's something you may not have known about Led Zeppelin -- the first time Jason Bonham played with his father John Bonham's bandmates was when he was 13, and it happened on August 1st, 1979 in Knebworth, England. Jimmy Page writes on his website, "During the sound check [for our two shows at Knebworth], as we were playing ‘Trampled Under Foot,’ I turned around to see 13-year-old Jason, playing on his father’s kit. This was probably the first time I played with Jason and was certainly not the last." Jason last played with Zeppelin when they reunited for a one-off show in London in 2007.
