BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN PROVES IT ALL NIGHT IN FINLAND

8/1/2012

While athletes are setting personal and world bests at the Summer Olympics in London, Bruce Springsteen closed the European leg of his Wrecking Ball Tour with a personal longest -- a four-hour and five-minute show in Helsinki, Finland. It marks the first time in his career that Springsteen has broken the four-hour mark WITHOUT an intermission. He began the night with a five song acoustic set that included "No Surrender," "Without You" and tour debuts of "I'll Work For Your Love," "Leap Of Faith" and "Blinded By The Light." The 33-song set with the E Street Band that followed included tour debuts of John Fogerty's "Rockin' All Over The World," "Back In Your Arms," the Mitch Ryder-saluting "Detroit Medley," "I Don't Want to Go Home" with special guest Southside Johnny Lyon, "Prove It All Night" and a cover of Jackie Wilson's "Higher And Higher." Springsteen and company begin the tour's second North American leg on August 14-15 at Fenway Park in Boston, with dates book through December 6.
