Peter Frampton has slated an "October sometime" release for a new live album and DVD from his Frampton Comes Alive 35 tour of 2011-12. The individual shows from the tour were recorded and offered for sale, but Frampton wrote in a recent Facebook posting that, "After I have mixed the audio for the DVD, I will, at some point, choose and mix what myself and the band feel are the best individual performances of each song or piece." The DVD audio, he reported, has been mixed and is now being mastered. Frampton wrote, "I will give you all the release date when it has been finally decided. I am not the 'decider' on this final point. But this control freak would like to be the ultimate 'decider' but some things I just have to let go of with some deep breaths. Oiy!!! Ha !!" During the shows Frampton performed the 1976 "Frampton Comes Alive!" in its entirety for the first part, then played a second set of additional songs and covers. Frampton's last concert album and DVD, "Live in Detroit," came out in 2000.
