BOB SEGER GETS STOLEN ITEMS BACK, MAN CHARGED IN THEFT

6/27/2012

A number of items stolen from Bob Seger's home last August have been recovered, and a 20-year-old Waterford Township man was arrested and charged with larceny by Orchard Lake police. Andrew D. Thompson was among those attending a party thrown by Seger's 16-year-old daughter, after which the family -- which was in the midst of moving into a new home it built -- noticed the items were missing. The 1978 Gibson Les Paul guitar that Seger holds on the cover of his "Greatest Hits" album was anonymously returned to the Segers' lakefront dock in May, while a Reebok sneaker autographed by Shaquille O'Neal was recovered from Thompson. A Rolex watch, however, was pawned for cash, and police think it was destroyed. Thompson faces four years in jail and is out on bail pending a preliminary hearing on Thursday (June 28) at 48th District Court.
