Over the years, countless fans have paid tribute to the Beatles, through mediums such as music, art and literature. But Lanea Stagg had a different idea on how to honor the Fab Four, and to feed her hunger for the band that’s been apart for over four decades.
Stagg is set to release a Beatles-themed cookbook next month, entitled “Recipe Records: A Culinary Tribute to the Beatles,” that will contain 50 recipes for the band's 50th anniversary, that boast awesome titles such as “Stuffed Sgt. Peppers,” “Strawberry Pie Forever,” “Let it Brie,” and our personal favorite, “Ob-La-Di Ob-La Slaw.”
The author/cook has two previous Rock and Roll themed books, “Recipe Records” and “Recipe Records: The 60’s Edition,” both of which she co-wrote with her friend Maggie McHugh, who passed away in 2011. Besides great recipes, the books are also full of music facts, stories, trivia and signature “Suggested Song Lists” according to RecipeRecords.com.
Stagg’s latest effort is due out in Mid-March, with preorders available on her website now. She will premiere all three books at this year’s Fest for Beatles Fans, which will take place on April 5th – 7th in Secaucus, NJ.
