35th Anniversary of Van Halen's Debut Album
Claire Holton

Today marks 35 years since hard rock revolutionaries Van Halen burst onto the scene with their debut album and changed the sound of rock for years to come!

Their self-titled debut went platinum an incredible ten times over and includes memorable arena-filling tracks like “Runnin’ WithThe Devil,” “You Really Got Me” and “Jamie’s Cryin.’”

With singer David Lee Roth’s wild on-stage antics and Eddie Van Halen’s DIY guitar innovation, the band was unstoppable in the decades to come, topping the charts again with hits like “Jump” and “Hot For Teacher.”

Van Halen came back with a bang after 28 years to record 2012’s “A Different Kind of Truth” with Dave on vocals once again and we couldn’t ask for anything more!

To keep up with everything Van Halen-related head to the Van Halen News Desk, and check out one of Eddie’s most mind blowing guitar solos from the song “Eruption” below!
