Last week, Rob Stringer, the head of Columbia Records, was honored at the Music Week Awards in London. David Bowie, who's signed to the label, sent a a video congratulating him -- and in his speech, he may have dropped a hint about what he's up to.
He said, "When Rob asked me if I minded if he took a few Saturdays off from his duties as percussionist on my new album this year in order to catch the Luton Town football club fixtures, how could I refuse? It's the least I could offer to the man who with his own hands pulled my [last] album to number-one throughout the world." That album was 2013's The Next Day, Bowie's first in more than 10 years.
Still one of my all time favorites
