94.7 WCSX & Hamlin Pub Holiday Cash Contest

How to Enter:

Listeners will be able to enter the 94.7 WCSX & Hamlin Pub Holiday Cash Contest at the locations below during the assigned dates & times.

·         6397 Sashabaw Rd, Clarkston, MI 48346/Appearance 11/19 (8p-10p)

·         1988 S. Rochester Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48307/ Appearance 12/3 (8p-10p)

·         50659 Gratiot Avenue, Chesterfield, MI 48051/Appearance 12/10 (8p-10p)

·         55076 Van Dyke, Shelby Twp, MI 48315/Appearance 12/17 (8p-10p)

At each of these six (6) appearances listeners will register to win one of the following qualifying prizes:

·         Three (3) prizes of $100

·         Ten (10) certificates for a Blake’s “You cut tree”

·         Four (4) $25 Hamlin Pub gift certificates

Participants must attend one of the above appearances and register at the WCSX table to be eligible for the drawing to win one of the above qualifying prizes.  All registration forms must be received by 9:59 pm.  Participants must be present when their name is called to be eligible to win; if an announced qualifier is not present, s/he will be disqualified and another qualifier’s name selected and announced.  Seventeen (17) qualifying winners will be randomly selected between the hours of 8-10pm at each one of the WCSX / Hamlin Pub events.  The earlier you register, the more chances you will have to win!  Specific prizes will be awarded in the discretion of the judges; winners may not select their prizes. 

All Seventeen (17) qualifiers at each appearance will also be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing to win the $1,000 shopping spree at a local store (TBD).  One entry per person per event.  Once a listener has been selected as a qualifier they are not eligible to participate in any of the remaining Hamlin Pub qualifying prize drawings.

At the final appearance on 12/17 all previous qualifiers will need to be present to be eligible to win the $1,000 shopping spree.  Seventeen (17) additional qualifiers will be chosen at the final appearance, for a total of One hundred and two qualifiers (102).  At the final appearance on 12/17 qualifiers must check-in at the WCSX booth between 8pm-9:30pm to be eligible to win the Grand Prize.  The Grand Prize winner will be chosen at 9:50pm by random drawing from all qualifiers.  If the preliminary winner is not present when their name is called, s/he will be disqualified and another qualifier will be chosen until a winner is present.

Odds of being selected as a qualifier depend on the number of eligible entries received at  the appearance. Odds of being selected as the grand prize winner once a qualifier is 1:102. 

Entries will be void and discarded if they contain false information, if illegible or not completed in full, if forged, mutilated or tampered with, or if they contain printing or mechanical or other errors. WCSX assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, failed or late entries submitted. All entries become property of WCSX and will not be returned.

All contest entries will become the property of WCSX (Station) and will not be acknowledged or returned.

 

Prizes:

• One (1) grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 gift certificate to a TBD store. Total ARV: $1,000 .

·         Three (3) prizes per appearance (18 total) of $100 cash or company check. 

·         Ten (10) certificates per appearance (60 total) for a Blake’s “You cut tree”.  Total ARV per gift certificate:  $50

·         Four (4) $25 Hamlin Pub gift certificates per appearance (24 total).  ARV:  $25 per gift certificate.

 

Prizes are not redeemable for cash.  Certain restrictions and expiration dates may apply, as stated on prize certificates or accompanying paperwork. 

No prize substitution except by WCSX, which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prize for one of comparable or greater value. Winners may not request prize substitution. Prizes are non-transferable and my not be claimed or used by any person other than the winner. Winners must claim prizes on-site at the WCSX Hamlin Pub appearances.

Eligibility:

All entrants must be at least 21 years old and legal residents of the United States, living or working in Station’s terrestrial listening area.  A winner will be disqualified if he/she or a member of his/her household has won a WCSX contest with a value over $50.00 within the previous 60 days.  Employees (including their immediate families and members of the same household) of Greater Media Detroit, its affiliates, promotion sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies who do business with WCSX or any of the promotion sponsors, and other radio stations in WCSX metro survey area (as defined by Arbitron) are not eligible to participate in any contest presented by WCSX.  The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents and legal guardians, children and legal wards, grandparents, and grandchildren, including “in-laws.”  One entry per person; multiple entries will disqualify the entrant.  Void where prohibited.

Release:

By participating, all entrants agree to release and hold harmless the promotion sponsors, WCSX, Greater Boston Radio, Inc., and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability and any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest and any prize won.  Winners (and their guests, if any) will be required to sign a form releasing WCSX and its affiliated companies from all liability in connection with the contest and the award and use of the prize before claiming the prize.

WCSX undertakes no liability or responsibility, and makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the performance of the prize(s) awarded, for any failure to perform or negligent performance of any service provider, or for any other risk, incident or damage, direct or indirect, relating to or arising out of the contest, including (but not limited to) cancellations, postponements, delays or other scheduling changes; missed events or connections or inability of winner to attend; and accident, injury, death, damage or expense arising from or occurring during the use of the prize, or travel to/from or attendance at any event relating to the contest, by the winner and/or winner’s guest(s). WCSX is not responsible for damage to a prize or loss of a prize after the prize has been claimed. Winners must inspect their prizes before leaving the station. WCSX is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failure or malfunctions, lost or unavailable network or other telecommunications connections, or lost, late, damaged, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, disconnected, or delayed contest entries or communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the execution of this contest.  If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of being conducted as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond the control of WCSX, WCSX reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and/or select an alternate method of awarding the prize(s).

License

Entry into any contest constitutes full permission for WCSX and promotion sponsors and their respective affiliates to broadcast and/or to photograph or publish the participant's name, voice, recorded comments, biographical information, face and likeness without compensation.

Taxes

WCSX will report the total value of each prize to the IRS and will furnish winners with a federal Form 1099.  Winners must provide their social security number to Station for tax reporting purposes, and are solely responsible for payment of all taxes incurred as a result of the award of a prize. 

General

Failure to conform to all contest rules, or any fraud or other illegal or inappropriate conduct on the part of a contestant, will result in the contestant's disqualification and forfeiture of any prize won.  WCSX reserves the right to rule ineligible listeners who, in WCSX’s sole judgment, engage in abusive conduct with respect to any contest or promotion conducted by WCSX or its affiliates.  WCSX reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify this Contest and these Official Rules at any time, which changes will become effective upon announcement.  By taking part in this contest, participants agree to be bound by these rules and all decisions of the judges, who are employees of WCSX and whose decisions with respect to all aspects of the contest are final and binding.  Copies of written contest rules and the list of winners are available during regular business hours at the WCSX studio, 1 Radio Plaza, Detroit, MI 48220 for 60 days after the contest concludes.  

As a condition to participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Oakland County, Michigan having competent jurisdiction, which court shall apply the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to the conflicts of law principles thereof. The entrant and WCSX hereby waive any and all right to trial by jury. If any provision of these Official Rules is declared or found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void but each other provision hereof not so affected will be enforced to the full extent permitted by applicable law.
