If you weren’t among the fans lucky enough to attend this year’s Crossroads Guitar Festival, here’s the chance to experience all of the Rock and Roll magic from the comfort of your own home!
Taking place on April 12 and 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the two-night festival featured some of the most celebrated guitarists in music, including Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr., Sonny Landreth, Keith Richards, Robert Cray, Keith Urban, Albert Lee, Vince Gill, Steve Cropper, Warren Haynes, Blake Mills, Derek Trucks, Gregg Allman, John Mayer, and of course, Eric Clapton, among others.
The festival will be released on double DVD/Blu-ray, and for the first time, as a live album, which will be available on CD and digitally. Some of the highlights include John Mayer and Keith Urban performing a rendition of the Beatles' "Don't Let Me Down," Vince Gill and Eric Clapton pairing up for "Lay Down Sally," and Albert Lee, Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks rocking an acoustic cover of Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done."
Held for the first time in 2004, Clapton has put on the Crossroads Guitar Festival every three years to raise funds for the Crossroads Centre in Antigua, which the guitarist founded in 1998 to assist those suffering from chemical addiction.
Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 will be released on November 19 via Rhino Records.
