The tracklist for Bob Seger's new album has been revealed. Kind of.
Seger posted a photo on his Facebook page Friday (August 29) showing a hand-written list of 13 truncated song titles for "Ride Out," due out October 14, on top of a studio mixing board.
The list confirmed that his version of John Hiatt's "Detroit Made," which Seger released to Detroit radio for this year's Woodward Dream Cruise, is the album's opening track, and that his "All of the Roads" and version of the Wilco/Billy Bragg/Woody Guthrie song "California Stars" are both on the album.
The song "Ride Out" and "Gates of Eden" are also on the list. Other tracks with shortened titles include "Gypsy," "Devil," "Adam," "Would," "U Take," "Listen," "Fireman" and "Rivers."
Neither Seger's management nor his record company responded to requests Friday for full song titles. "Ride Out" is Seger's first new album in eight years, since "Face the Promise" in 2006.
Seger and his Silver Bullet Band are planning to tour in support of the album, but no dates have been announced yet.
