Frampton Throws Fan’s Phone During Performance

NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Musician Peter Frampton performs onstage at the Road Recovery Benefit at the John Varvatos Bowery NYC store on January 7, 2010 in New York City.
Talk about taking matters into your own hands!

Peter Frampton was playing a show in Carmel, Ind. this past Sunday (August 3rd), and while fans were allowed to take photos, flash photography and video were not allowed.   However, according to accounts posted to Frampton’s Facebook page, there were two fans in the front row who refused to stop taking video and flash photography and were reportedly drunk and disturbing others within in their row.

So what did Frampton do? He playfully asked one of the fans for their phone during a song …and chucked the phone to the back of the stage!

Frampton himself addressed the incident on his Facebook page and thanked fans who shared their experience at the show/explained what lead to the phone throwing.

As for the fan who lost his phone, I doubt any insurance plan covers “rock star throwing/damages.”
