Neil Young Calling For Boycott of Non-Organic Cotton

LONDON, ENGLAND - JULY 12: Neil Young and Crazy Horse perform on stage at British Summer Time Festival>> at Hyde Park on July 12, 2014 in London, United Kingdom.
Neil Young’s
latest stand? Boycotting non-organic cotton.

Young took to his official website and posted a message about all of the negative effects of non-organic cotton and how he’s removing all of his regular cotton merchandise in exchange for organic cotton only t-shirts and other clothing.

While Young went into extensive detail about the negative effects of traditional cotton production, he also offered up tips to fans on how to reduce their carbon foot print.  Many folks may not like rockstars taking a stand on various causes, but in the case of Young, he’s definitely one of the most genuine.  He doesn’t just state his opinion; he backs himself up with facts and remedies as to how we all can change.

In other words, he’s not a bandwagon guy.  He puts his money where his mouth is.
