More Details on Lost Mercury/Queen Tracks Emerge

BURBANK, CA - JUNE 16: (L-R) Musicians Roger Taylor and Brian May perform onstage during Queen + Adam Lambert for iHeartRadio Live at the iHeartRadio Theater on June 16, 2014 in Burbank, California.
Looks like there’s some progress on those recently unearthed Freddie Mercury vocals found in the depths of the Queen vault.

Notable pop producer William Orbit, who’s worked with Madonna, Britney Spears and Pink, has confirmed via Twitter that he will be producing the new Queen release and says that the new songs are “amazing.”

Per NME.com, the album is rumored to be titled Queen Forever and is eyeing a release before this Christmas.  The album is also rumored to contain a lost duet of Mercury and Michael Jackson, but nothing has been confirmed.

Personally, I’m hoping that there will be at least one song to feature Adam Lambert.  Considering the rave reviews he’s been receiving on Queen’s North American tour, it would be a shame for him not to be on the album.
