Authorized Beatles Doc In The Works

Conflicting reports were released July 23, 2001 regarding Beatle George Harrison''s battle with cancer. Music producer Sir George Martin was quoted as saying that Harrison expects to die soon from his illnesses. The 58-year-old musician underwent treatment for a brain tumor at a clinic in Switzerland, and had surgery earlier this year for lung cancer.
Remember all of those rumors of a Beatles TV movie?  They might be dead in light of this latest news.

A new authorized documentary highlighting the touring years of The Beatles from their early performances at the Cavern Club to their final public concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco in 1966 is in the works, and there are some huge names behind this project.

In addition to having the blessing and full cooperation of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison
, Ron Howard is set to direct this yet-to-be-named film, with Nigel Sinclair, Scott Pascucci and Academy Award winner Brian Grazer on board as producers.
