A Pete Townshend guitar and drums played by Keith Moon are the latest rock and roll artifacts to hit the auction block.
The two lots are just some of the highlights of Leland’s Spring 2014 Catalog Auction. Per the Lelands.com posting, the guitar was played at a show in Cleveland, and Townshend later gave the instrument to local Cleveland DJ David Spero. The drums were used by Moon on The Who’s 1973-74 Quadrophenia tour.
The online auctions both end on July 25th at 9:00 PM EST. So far, the Townshend guitar is going for $2,500, and the Moon drums are at $1,000. Considering what some rock and roll artifacts have been purchased for lately, these two lots are a bargain! The best I ever saw!
