Gene Simmons Co-Producing Lifetime Reality Show

LOS ANGELES, CA - MAY 21: Musician Gene Simmons of KISS performs onstage during Fox's 'American Idol' XIII Finale at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on May 21, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
In what is obviously an unlikely pairing, the Lifetime network has announced that they have given the greenlight to a new reality show co-produced by Gene Simmons.

Per a press release from A&E Networks, the show will be called Ugly Models, and it will highlight a U.K. modeling agency, which is known for representing “character models with unique and unusual looks,” as they expand their offices to the United States.

(Side note:  While researching this reality show subject, this writer was stunned to find out this agency is actually called Ugly Models Agency and that the show title is not trying to be clever/rude.)

Nothing has been announced as to how involved Gene will be on this show or whether being named “co-producer” is just a vanity credit, but I sincerely hope he makes some sort of appearance on the show just to see if he hits on any of the models.

Let’s face it: If she’s got a pulse, Gene will at least think about it. (Wink, wink)
