Billy Joel is offering a taste of his upcoming "A Matter of Trust: the Bridge to Russia" box set online -- a previously unreleased performance video of "Stilleto" from one of the six shows he performed in the USSR during July and early August of 1987.
The concerts were the first full-scale rock productions in that nation ever by an individual artist, and longtime Joel saxophonist Mark Rivera tells us it was a new experience for the fans who came to the shows:

"I remember the Russians being the most incredible, they soaked up the entire event. It was the first full production that was ever done. It's the first time a band brought their entire production -- lights, sound, stage, it was the whole nine yards. The people were amazing...Russia was a blast."
The "A Matter of Trust" box set comes out May 20 and will feature two CDs of live performances from the tour plus the title documentary that aired on Showtime earlier this year. Joel next performs Friday (May 9) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
