Townshend Says The Who Will Tour To Celebrate 50th Anniversary

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - OCTOBER 22: Pete Townsend attends the UK Premiere of 'Sensation - The Story of The Who's Tommy' at Riverside Studios on October 22, 2013 in London, England.
Many bands from the 1960’s “British Invasion” are celebrating their 50th anniversaries in style, and that includes The Who.

In an interview with Billboard.com, Pete Townshend says that The Who will be touring the U.K. around late December this year and will be playing shows in North America in throughout 2015.

Townshend also hints that new music from him and Roger Daltrey could also be in the works.

He says that he’s “trying to look through 20,000 hours of complete and utter disorganized music to find possible songs…to give to Roger to see if we’ve got enough to make an album.”

20,000 hours of music?!  I’m no musically genius (like Townshend), but there must be SOMETHING within those recordings that’s worth sharing with the world.
