E Street Band Inducted Into Rock Hall By Springsteen

NEW YORK, NY - APRIL 10: (L-R) Inductees Steven Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren, David Sancious, Garry Tallent, Roy Bittan, Max Weinberg and Vini Lopez of the E Street Band attend the 29th Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony at Barclays Center of Brooklyn on April 10, 2014 in New York City.
It may have taken 15 years after Bruce Springsteen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to get the call, but last night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, The E Street Band finally got their due, being inducted by Springsteen himself.

As reported by RollingStone.com, The Boss took to the podium and delivered an emotional, heart-felt speech about the band that allowed him to tell “a story…that was and is bigger than anything I could have told on my own.”

This, of course, isn’t the first time Springsteen paid tribute to The E Street Band.  When he was inducted in 1999, he honored them by saying, “My great friends…my great collaborators…my great band. Your presence tonight honors me. And I wouldn’t be standing up here tonight without your and I can’t stand up here tonight without you.”
