Looks like Billy Joel’s May 9th Madison Square Garden residency show will be special for a couple of reasons: He’ll be celebrating his 65th birthday, and he will donate proceeds from the sold-out show to charity.
As reported by Newsday, The Piano Man will be donating to the North Shore Animal League, the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization. Joel’s donation will help the organization expand on their current headquarters and provide additional space for the care of various animals.
As Joel’s MSG residency continues to grow, he continues to add various US dates in between. Even though he’s turning 65, it doesn’t look like Billy’s retiring any time soon.
