U2 Set To Be Honored At LA-Italia Festival

The honors keep coming for U2 and its song "Ordinary Love" from the "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" biopic.

The tune has already received a Golden Globe Award and is up for an Academy Award on March 2; now it will be feted at the Los Angeles-Italia Film, Fashion and Art Festival that starts on Sunday (February 23) in Hollywood.

Naomie Harris, who plays Winnie Mandela in the film, will present the LA-Italia award to U2 during the week-long event -- though it's not exactly clear what standing it has at a festival designed to spotlight Italian and Italian-American artists.

"American Hustle" director David O. Russell, "Philomena's" Steve Coogan and others will also take part in the festival.

U2 will be performing "Ordinary Love" during the televised Oscar ceremony, and the group is eyeing a summer release for its new album, the followup to 2009's "No Line on the Horizon."
