Billy Joel will be going outside this summer to play some music.
Joel -- who's previously played shows at Yankee Stadium and the former Shea Stadium in New York -- has announced a July 18 concert at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
It's the first stadium date of 2014; he'll also play on June 7 at the open-air MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Joel will be coming to the small screen soon as well; Showtime has announced a January 31 premiere for "Billy Joel: A Matter of Trust -- The Bridge to Russia," a documentary about his 1987 six-show tour of the Soviet Union. Ironically, it was HBO that aired the initial special that same year from one of Joel's shows in Leningrad.
Joel is also releasing a boxed set of recordings from the USSR, though no details have yet been announced. He performed Friday (January 17) in Tampa, Fla.
