David Bowie Scores Two Nominations for Brit Awards

David Bowie's
2013 comeback has earned the Thin White Duke two nominations for this year's Brit Awards -- the U.K.'s equivalent of the Grammys.

Bowie is up for Best British Male Solo Artist, while "The Next Day," his first new album in 10 years, is shortlisted for the Mastercard British Album of the Year.

Bowie is the only classic rock artist up for a Brit this year, though Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth, who both worked on Paul McCartney's album "New," are both nominated for British Producer of the Year.

The Brits will be handed out February 19 at the O2 Arena in London.
