Sammy Hagar has assembled some of Rock and Roll’s finest to perform at a benefit concert for the wife of his longtime drummer, David Lauser.
Last year, Liza Cozad-Lauser was diagnosed with terminal brain stem cancer and needs FDA approval for access to a treatment that could potentially save her life.
The event, dubbed “Concert for Liza,” is meant to help raise awareness of Liza’s situation and attempt to convince the FDA to allow her to use an experimental drug that is heavily regulated, according to ConcertForLiza.org.
Artists scheduled to perform at the benefit, which is set for February 12 at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA, include Hagar and his band the Wabos, Chickenfoot members Joe Satriani and Michael Anthony, Mr. Big’s Billy Sheehan and Night Ranger’s Jack Blades, with more guests to be announced soon.
