Heart Announces Live CD/DVD Package Due Out in 2014

Newly minted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Heart remain prolific with the announcement of a new concert CD/DVD set, "Fanatic Life From Caesars Colosseum," coming February 25.

The 14-song set was recorded at the Caesars Windsor casino and hotel in Ontario and mixes favorites such as "Crazy On You," "Barracuda" and "Alone" with material from the group's latest studio set, "Fanatic."

The live set joins both "Fanatic" and the 2012 box set "Strange Euphoria," and guitarist Nancy Wilson tells us that a live release is appropriate because touring has been such a crucial part of Heart's history:

"That's sort of our lot. When this is the job you do you have to pull up stakes and in many cases roots and keep moving, and it's in the job description...unless you're working in Branson, Missouri, but I don't think we will be. Maybe Vegas is kind of an antidote to that. It's what we've been doing. When we came back out on the road in 2002, since then...We had a few years for me to build my family and all that and came back out in 2002 and have been summer touring ever since."

Heart wraps up its current tour on Friday (December 13) in Vancouver, and then hits the road again on February 1 in Durant, Okla.

The track list for "Fanatic Live From Caesars Colosseum" includes: "Fanatic," "Heartless," "What About Love," "Mashallah!," "Even It Up," "59 Crunch," "Straight On," "Dog And Butterfly," "Walking Good," "These Dreams," "Alone," "Dear Old America," Crazy On You," "Barracuda."
