Starship Lead Guitarist Passes Away at 46

This past holiday weekend was a sad one for the members and fans of Starship

On Sunday, lead guitarist Mark Abrahamian died shortly after performing at a concert in Nebraska. 

According to Rolling Stone, Abrahamian died of an apparent heart attack. Abrahamian had been touring with Starship since 2000.  

On his website he shared is passion for playing and being a part of the icon Classic Rock band, "Backing one of Rocks greatest singers he recreates the energy of the hits that brought Jefferson Starship to the top of the charts in the Eighties. Mark enjoys bringing to life classics such as "Sara", "Jane", "Nothings Gonna Stop Us", "Built This City On Rock And Roll", and "Find your way back ", as well as the opportunity to add his own musical expression along the way."

Starship took to twitter Monday to share their sorrow at Abrahmanian's passes saying "We are shocked and saddened at the sudden loss of our guitar player Mark Abrahamian. We will miss you, brother. Rest in peace, Mark."

Mark Abrahamian was 46 years old.
