Neil Young with Crazy Horse to Play for Poverty

Neil Young with Crazy Horse will headlining a list of steller performers at the Global Festival to take place in Central Park in NYC on Sept. 29th.

While Neil—also joined by the Foo Fighters, the Black KeysBand of Horses and K’Naan—is enough to draw out many fans, there’s another kicker: the tickets are FREE!

Sort of.

In order to get your hands on a pair of passes, fans are required to go to the Global Festival website and earn points through a system set up by the Global Poverty Project.

But even earning points and hitting up Facebook doesn’t necessarily guarantee you a seat at this concert.

Here's how the Global Festival site describes how you can score tickets:

To enter the lottery to win a pair of tickets, you need to register as a Global Citizen, and earn three points or more, by learning, sharing or taking action.

Once you've earned three points, you will be entered into the pool for any future lottery draws (we'll be drawing 27,000 pairs of tickets across August and September). You can earn extra chances to win by taking more action. For each additional 5 points you earn on Global Citizen, you'll get an extra chance to win.

Whew! That sounds like a lot of work for a ticket…but we are talking about Neil Young with Crazy Horse here people!

…And, of course, helping out global poverty.
