* Two Bob Seger songs -- "Hollywood Nights" and "Night Moves" -- are featured on the soundtrack for the Grand Theft Auto V video game. The Classic Rock-themed set also includes tunes by Queen, Foreigner, Elton John, the Doobie Brothers, Chicago, the Small Faces, Billy Squier, Steve Winwood, Stevie Nicks, Robert Plant and the Steve Miller Band.

* Sting's upcoming musical "The Last Ship" will run June 10-July 13 at the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago before moving to Broadway. 
* Carole King will be the Recording Academy's 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year and honored in a ceremony on January 24 that will feature performances by Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, James Taylor and others. 
* Rolling Stones bassist Darryl Jones has joined the Dead Daisies, a Los Angeles-based hard rock all-star group. 
* Queen will be joined on stage by fun. singer Nate Ruess tonight (September 20) in Las Vegas. 
* Roger Pope, an early and former drummer for Elton John, died earlier this week at the age of 66. 
* Forty-three years ago today (September 20) the Doors' Jim Morrison was found guilty of indecent exposure and profanity in Miami, charges that stemmed from the band's March 1969 performance there.
