Neil Young & Crazy Horse announced today that they will headline the Interlocken Music Festival, a brand new four-day music event starting on September 5.
Though more acts will be announced over the coming months, Interlocken will also feature the Black Crowes, Furthur and more, according to the official press release.
The festival's creators, Dave Frey and Peter Shapiro, are firm believers in the “less is more” philosophy, giving bands on the two main stages uninterrupted two-hour sets.
Frey and Shapiro were inspired to create a music festival that combined inter-locking performances with non-stop music, settling on the theme that “when something ends, another begins.”
The Interlocken Festival will run through September 8 at Oak Ridge Farm, a restored racetrack in central Virginia.
Before the festival this fall, Young and Crazy Horse will continue together on their international tour, which hits Europe in early June.
