* Black Sabbath has announced a full North American tour itinerary, with an August 6 date at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. Tickets go on sale May 3. 
* Elton John and his partner, David Furnish, have named Lady Gaga to be godmother to their second son, Elijah. She's also godmother to the couple's two-year-old son Zachary. 
* David Bowie has given novelist Rick Moody ("The Ice Storm") a list of 42 words to represent the "lexicon" of his new album, "The Next Day." It's Bowie's first public comment on the album. See the list at Bowie is filming a video for the song's title track with British actor Gary Oldman in New York.. 
* Bruce Springsteen has been elected into the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, joining Robert De Niro, Sally Field and Pete Seeger in this year's class of inductees. 
* During the British premiere of the "History of the Eagles" documentary, Glenn Frey told reporters that the upcoming History of the Eagles Tour "very well could be" the group's last world tour. It kicks off May 23 in Las Vegas, and a fall swing -- including a Detroit-area date -- is expected to be announced next week. The "History of the Eagles" DVD comes out April 30. 
* Paul McCartney has added Quebec City, on July 23, to his ever-growing Out There tour itinerary.
* "Queen On Fire: Live at the Bowl," filmed June 5, 1982 at Milton Keynes Bowl in the U.K., will be released May 21 on DVD. --  by Gary Graff, WCSX Classic Rock Insider
