If you’re interested in a series of horror stories told by Alice Cooper himself, it’s up to you to make it happen!
Dark Matter Publishing recently launched a Kickstarter page to fund the making of a comic book anthology/graphic novel and potential TV series entitled “Uncle Alice Presents”. The series will feature Cooper as its narrator who acts as “the gatekeeper of the netherworld between heaven and hell,” telling tales so scary, it seems as though they’ve been ripped from his own nightmares.
“Uncle Alice Presents” is the brainchild of Dark Matter publisher Tom Shepherd, who is perhaps best known for his work on shows such as The Pinky and the Brain and The High Fructose Adventures of the Annoying Orange.
The artists, writers and storylines for the project are already in place, but the creation, printing and distribution of the twelve comic books, graphic novel and television pilot all need funding. The campaign goal is set at $200,000 and ends on Friday, April 19th.
For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, it is a groupfunding platform for creative projects that rewards backers with special fulfillment gifts. Those who submit at least $10 to the project will also be able to pitch story ideas to the crew, making “Uncle Alice Presents” a truly interactive experience.
If they meet their goal, hard copies of the comic books and graphic novel will most likely be released be December 2013.
