John Fogerty Searching for Writing Partner to Help Pen Autobiography

While John Fogerty is preparing for the May 28 release of his new duets album, "Wrote a Song For Everyone," he's also starting to hone in on the autobiography he plans to publish next year.

Fogerty has signed with Little, Brown and Company for the memoir, but he tells us that he's looking for a partner in crime before he can start:

"I haven't really decided on the writer yet. It's not gonna be me; folks, I'm sorry, I need another, a collaborator. If you ever get me to sit down and write a letter, that's an accomplishment. Email was invented for guys like me...Actually a lot of work has been done, 'cause I talked in the years past to other people and got it all recorded and transcribed, even, and that'll sort of be, for the right person that'll be raw material that he'll digest and then go, 'Yeah, that's fine. Now let's start over...' "

Fogerty, who earlier this year played several shows with Dave Grohl's Sound City Players, plans to do some touring in support of "Wrote a Song For Everyone," which includes collaborations on Creedence Clearwater Revival songs with Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Kid Rock, Rascal Flatts, Dawes, Miranda Lambert and others.
