* "History of the Eagles" debuts in two parts on Friday and Saturday (February 15 and 16) on Showtime. Bob Seger is interviewed in Part 1, talking about fellow Detroiter Glenn Frey. 


* Tickets for Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band's April 11 concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday (February 16) at the box office and Ticketmaster.  

* Guitarist Gary Rossington, the sole remaining original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, has been hospitalized in Wyoming and is being tested for an abdominal infection. The group has canceled two shows in Biloxi, Miss.  

* Bryan Adams has a second daughter, Lula Rosylea Adams, born in London earlier this week to the Canadian rocker and his longtime partner Alicia Grimaldi.

* Like father like son; Dhani Harrison has followed his father's footsteps into film music as his band, thenewno2, composes the "Beautiful Creatures" soundtrack. Check out The Insider's interview with Harrison at http://bit.ly/12NHbmB

* Queen's Brian May says he and Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi are planning to make an album of guitar riffs, though no timetable for the project has been established. 

* Def Leppard will be featured at an edition of Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp April 4-7 in Las Vegas during the group's nine-show residency at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.  

* Happy Phil Collins Day -- really. Check out the official web site as well as a new song about the former Genesis frontman.  

* Dio's "Dream Evil" album will receive a Deluxe Edition reissue in July, with a second disc of studio outtakes and live tracks.
