* The Eagles' Don Henley is planning a May release for his first solo album in 12 years. Titled "Cass County" -- the Texas area in which he was raised -- it`s a country-flavored set that was recorded in Dallas and Nashville and co-produced with former Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers drummer Stan Lynch. 


* Paul McCartney, along with Daughters Mary and Stella, have produced a half-hour online documentary about the late Linda McCartney. Elvis Costello, Pretenders` Chrissie Hynde, "Saturday Night Live" chief Lorne Michaels and her brother John Eastman also appear in the short film. Check it out atwww.lindamccartneyfoods.co.uk

* E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg has a pair of TV appearances coming up. He`ll appear on tonight's (Monday, February 4) episode of "Hawaii Five-O"playing a weapons expert, and he`ll be in the February 10 episode of "The Simpsons" on Fox, along with Zooey Deschanel. 

* Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler says the band has "finished" recording its next album, which is due in June. He adds that guitarist Tony Iommi is "really responding well" to treatments for lymphoma, and the group should be touring worldwide, with summer dates in North America. 

* Britain's Primal Scream has confirmed that Robert Plant recorded guest vocals for a song called "Elimination Blues" on the group's new album, which is due in May. -- by Gary Graff, WCSX Classic Rock Insider.
