DID HE DO IT ON PURPOSE?

There was a very interesting moment in the pits during Sunday's IRL race in Sonoma. Watch the video and decide for yourself.

Dixon was leading when the contact happened, and was later given a penalty for the contact with 15 laps to go. His team was furious about the incident, saying that Power's crew member was in the way of Dixon's path leaving the pits, but IndyCar race director Beaux Barfield said after the race that the series had determined that Dixon was in Power's pit box when he made contact with the tire. (Barfield said that the white lines painted on pit road and used during Sprint Cup Series races were not the delineations used by IndyCar.) Dixon's drive-through penalty handed the lead over to Power, who held on to win the race, his first win since May of last year.
