TOMMY CAN YA HEAR ME?

It seems that David Spade is getting some flak about a spot that ran during last night's World Series game 1. It was for one of the satillite tv providers. You may have seen the previous one with Kim Bassinger and Dana Carvey in the laundramat from Wayne's World. They have a new clip of Kim talking to the old clip of Garth...er Dana Carvey. In this new one, David Spade is interacting with Chris Farley as they do the "Fat Guy in a Lttle Coat" bit from TOMMY BOY, a true classic. Now check this out...Some have said it was in bad taste to use the now deceased Farley. My take is if anyone has the right to that, it would be David Spade. They worked together on SNL before doing TOMMY BOY, and the follow up, BLACK SHEEP. Remember that was about Chris trying to help his brother get elected as governor in a way that would have made Billy Carter proud. Those two together had real timing and comic genius ala Abbout & Costello and Laurel and Hardy. Too bad it was cut soo short. But WHAT DO YOU THINK? Bad taste or way cool?-SK
