"The Ded Dave Show"
Posted 10/30/2009 11:30:00 AM

We may be in the midst of a horror host renaissance. Last year Clinton Township native Mac Kelly moved his Wolfman Mac persona to MyTV-20 for a late night horror movie show with humorous skits. Now Dave Taylor (of the band The Amino Acids) brings his own horror "skit-com," "The Ded Dave Show," to WKDB-TV for a sneak preview tonight at 3 a.m. The show begins its regular run in January.

Filmed in Mount Clemens and Detroit, with "zero budget" in a converted household basement, it stars Taylor as Ded Dave, "a flesh eating ghoul of the night," with Jeremy Altier (formerly of the Amino Acids) as Bog, "a mentally afflicted creature of the swamp."

According to a press release, "Every week, the show will tell a gruesome and side-splitting tale of comedy terror, featuring Dave and Bog's misadventures among the living and the dead," along with "commercials from the land of the dead" and "random broadcast disruptions."
