Waiting On A Sunny Day

I’m just waiting out these last days of winter and looking forward to spring. The outdoor chores are becoming very tedious, there’s no football to watch and I never even got started with my plan to lose weight. Newly released is a boxed set collection of the Allman Brothers Band's 2009 residency at New York City's Beacon Theatre. Rolling Stone reported that the 2009 Beacon Box is available directly through the band's website hittinthenote.com, and "comes in a hefty wood case with a glossy booklet, souvenir backstage passes and a two-CD bonus show from December 2008." The set sells for a cool $499 -- but each of the 15 shows are available separately for $27.
Among the guest players that joined the Allmans during the 2009 Beacon run were Taj Mahal, Johnny Winter, Billy Gibbons, Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell of Phish, the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, Boz Scaggs, Bonnie Bramlett, and Eric Clapton for his first-ever performance with the Allmans.

Good vacation! Got some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. Went up to West Branch with the kids and some friends. Stayed at the Quality Inn right off the exit…excellent place. Cool log cabin/lumber jack décor, rooms connected to pool, restaurant, connecting convenience/liquor/subway store….never had to leave.

Superbowl was SUPER! Great game with great storyline. Way to go Saints! C’mon Lions, put the past behind ya. It can be done.

Got a lot done around the house. What a difference it makes when you can do the chores at your own pace. Snow was fallin…fireplace was going…I was chillin.

Always feels good to be back on air with a refreshed groove. Let’s Rock!
