Spartan For Life

I feel like Tiger Stadium has been saved…a classic preserved. Tom Izzo announced last night that he will not take the Cav’s job and will remain at MSU for life. Phew!
It is good to see a man of character stand up for what is right rather than chase the money. Spartan fans had flashbacks of Nick Saban. A coach who went with the big paycheck and abandoned a program that was starting to get on track. In this case coach Izzo had already established himself as one of the elite college coaches and I couldn’t blame him if he wanted to take on a new challenge. I’m not sure I’m ready to have the human element taken out of the game of baseball. You certainly couldn’t have instant replay on balls and strikes, that zone is interpretive. Some say it’s just progress, we need to go there to bring the game into modern times. I like replay in football… not sure it’s right for baseball.
Anyway, the manner in which both men handled this very unfortunate situation should be an example to all. Admit and be apologetic when your wrong…and ...
