She was asked to sing the Canadian AND American National Anthem at a Junior Hockey Tournament in Saskatoon. And the "Star Spangled Banner" kicked her butt...seriously. Do we slam her for screwing it up....or give her a break because it's a tough song to sing?

Matt Kemp plays for the L.A. Dodgers. Matt Kemp is a reminder that there's still good in people. Last weekend in San Francisco there was a 19 year old Dodgers fan named Jeff who's fighting brain cancer, Matt found out about it -- and watch as he gives him his cap, jersey and shoes. "Wally told me that there was a big Dodger fan at the game and that he didn't have a long time to live — not longer than a month and a half....so after the game, I just decided to go meet him. He couldn't talk because I guess his speech was gone. When I said 'Hi' to him, he just looked at me in shock. It almost got me."

Last week we were talking with listeners about albums that they wore out growing up (Live Bullet, Dark Side of the Moon, Frampton Comes Alive, etc.). CHAEL SONNEN - UFC 159

Saturday night promises to be one of the more interesting title fights in UFC history (and that's saying something). Jon Jones vs Chael Sonnen. Hard to argue that Jon is one of the top "pound for pound" fighters in the UFC today -- and Chael is the most polarizing figure in the sport. You either love him or hate him. Surprised by insightfulness two days before a title fight and really looking forward to a good fight (can anyone stope "Bones"?)

UNCLE TED - BOB SEGER AND A CAVE

Confession. I love Ted Nugent but always nervous about doing interviews with him. Not because of the politics, but you say one thing then listen. Not alot of give and take with Uncle Ted. But this was different. He's coming to DTE on August 2nd (with a powerful opening lineup Tesla and Laura Wilde) and it wasn't just him selling the show. Ted opened up about Detroit - his guitar influences and an amazing story concerning Bob Seger in a cave. My favorite interview with Ted. Ever.

JOHN DENSMORE - DOORS REUNION WITH JIMMY FALLON?

This is one of the most interesting books about the Doors I've ever read. It's called "The Doors:Unhinged" about John Densmore and the lawsuit he and the Jim Morrison's family filed against Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger when the two launched the Doors of the 21st Century in 2002. In this interview he talks about turning down $15 million from Cadillac, how Jim's Dad showed up at the lawsuit to defend his son, and would he ever consider a reunion -- with Jimmy Fallon on lead vocals?

Here's the clip about a possible reunion with Ray & Robbie - and was the book cathartic (and olive branch to the other two)
