1. Paul was named after Paul Nordenvingster, the Norwegian fishing boat captain who invented fish sticks.
2. When the Beatles first formed Paul actually spoke with a French accent but Beatles manager Brian Epstein made him drop the French accent and begin speaking with an English accent so that all four band members would sound uniform.
3. As a young lad of three growing up in Liverpool, Paul was truly gifted in arithmetic and he could count backwards from 2,000 to 1, faster than he could count forwards from 1 to 2,000.
4. Paul once told a reporter for the Ta Ta For Now News Agency in London that John's second wife Yoko Ono looked like a gigantic swollen chopstick with black Chia pet hair. John did not speak to Paul for 7 months.
5. When Ringo Starr first joined the Beatles, he actually played the clarinet, but Paul decided that since they did not have a drummer it might not be a bad idea for Ringo to switch over to the drums.
6. During the middle of the Beatlemania craze Paul told fellow band mates John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr that he wanted to change the name of the band from The Beatles to The Bumblebees to see if their millions of world-wide fans would still accept them.
7. Paul has confessed that the Beatles song "Penny Lane" was not really written about the street in Liverpool but about his third grade teacher whom he had a tremendous crush on.
8. McCartney named his very first pet dog "Hitler" after his high school geography teacher Mr. Hitler Wickingwood.
9. During the height of the Beatles popularity Paul became extremely superstitious and actually began carrying around a cricket in his shirt pocket which he named "Buddy Holly."
10. Paul dated fellow English singer Petula Clark but he broke up with her because she always wanted to go "Downtown."
